World Environment Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Indira Gandhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Perumbavoor on 12th June 2026 at 10:00 AM. The programme was organized by the NSS unit of the institution in alignment with this year’s global theme, “Inspired by Nature: For Climate. For Our Future.”

As part of the celebration, a sapling plantation drive was initiated within the college campus. The initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness and encourage sustainable practices among students. NSS volunteers actively participated in planting various saplings, contributing to the greening of the campus and reinforcing the importance of preserving nature.
