National service scheme (NSS)

Staff Coordinators role:

The NSS staff co-coordinator at a pharmacy college is responsible for coordinating NSS activities, supervising volunteers, and administering the program. The coordinator also works to motivate students, educate them about the NSS, and help them plan and implement activities.

Responsibilities:

• Make student to understand the community in which they live.
• Make student to understand themselves in relation to their community. Identify the needs and problems of the community and involve students in problem-solving.
• Develop among students a sense of social and civic responsibility.
• Utilize students’ knowledge in finding practical solutions to individual and community problems.
• Develop competence required for group-living and sharing of responsibilities. Practice national integration and social harmony.
• Record NSS activity in a separate register
